Torrey Pines Park Torrey Pine Park is just outside of San Diego in California. In fact it is close enough that you can see the city from the upper level of the Park. However, don't let this fool you. The park is loaded with wonderful plants and spectacular scenery. Named for the Torrey Pine, a species found only in this small area, the park has two major areas, the upper section which is a pine and scrub desert area, and the lower section which is a beach overlooked by an oddly configured cliff showing distinct layers of different geology. The upper most section is the photographicallt interesting section that houses what seem to be wind- and water- eroded shapes that resemble people, eyes, animals and just about anything your imagination can conjure up. |
