Catavina in Baja Mexico (part 2)

Catavina is small town in the central portion of Baja, Mexico. For the traveller in Baja, it is an important location because it has a gas station, something that is not all that common in central Baja. For the naturalist and photographer, Baja in general and Catavina in particular are amazing locations. Wierd geological formations combine with wierd plants in a wierd environment that ranges from hot to cold, and very dry to intensely wet. No matter the wierdness of everything, when the desert areas are in bloom they are magnificent.
